So, I rode Scout today =D
Amanda rode Dusty, a gray Arab,
and Niki, our guide rode Heidi, a spotted Appy.
It was a mad dash to get ready this morning =]
Once I got on,I was making Scout walk around a bit, just making him wake up and warm up his muscles a little. And Paula, the owner of Rockin' P, was watching with a big smile on her face, and I heard her talking to my parents. She didn't believe I was only fourteen and a half. She said I looked so natural in saddle, like it was where I'm supposed to be. She said I was a smart young lady too, and a good rider.
A good rider, I heard that come out of Paula's mouth. I was sooo impressed! I didn't think I was that good of a rider, but she said I looked natural, like I had been doing it for years, and I was thinking 3 steps ahead of the horse. She was impressed with my riding.
My guide even told me she could tell I had a special love for horses.
Paula says, she can't wait to train me to guide, cuz she said I'm level headed, sweet, passionate, and I have a good personality. And I'd make an excellant guide! She said, she would have taken me this summer, if she knew what I could do, and I was old enough, but I'm not, sadly. I need to be able to drive myself out there.
What's a better job then riding horses, leading the others, showing your knowledge and being around the horses, and getting paid for it?
I think it's perfect. =]
I just wanna be old enough to do it now, I wanna press the forward button, and skip to that April I take training.
I'm excitedish for school.
I have to go pay fees on the 21st, then start school on the 27th.
